Know what is still with your job worker
Job work software that tracks what you sent, what came back and what is still out, and builds the ITC-04 tables from the same orders.
What goes wrong today
- Material sent out recorded in a notebook so nobody knows what is still with the job worker
- Returned goods taken into stock at the wrong cost with the job charge left out
- Losses at the job worker never written down until the count doesn't match
- ITC-04 pieced together by hand every filing period
- A job work order with the process, the goods expected back and a job charge per unit
- Sending materials out: stock moves to the job worker and a challan is issued to travel with it
- Receiving the first batch back, with the order showing as partly received
- Materials sent, used, returned, lost and still out, with the value still outside your shop
- The ITC-04 tab: tables 4 and 5A as CSVs, and inputs overdue after a year
How job work runs in Centrik
- 1
Create the job work order
Pick the job worker, the warehouse the materials leave from, the process, the goods to come back and how many, and the job charge per unit. The order starts as a draft.
- 2
Send materials on a challan
When the truck is ready, send the materials. They leave free stock and are held as stock with the job worker, and a job-work challan is issued to travel with them. Delivery challans under GST
- 3
Receive goods back in batches
Record each batch with the job worker's challan number. Record anything returned unprocessed or lost too. Finished goods arrive in stock at their full cost: material plus job charge.

Pull ITC-04
Pick a period and download tables 4 and 5A as CSVs in the GST offline tool's column order. How ITC-04 works
